mistronet
how it works

Five steps from installer to running stack.

01

Install on your hardware

Mistro ships as a custom Debian 13 ISO, hardened on first boot. Your box — a mini PC, a NUC, a retired laptop, a VPS you already rent. No special silicon required.

02

Engine runs. Immediately.

Firewall comes up. VPN tunnel connects. Backups schedule. Monitoring starts. No AI needed for any of this — the engine is scripts, timers, and services. It runs forever.

03

Add Intelligence when you want it

Plug in your Claude subscription (first month included). Now the modules think, explain, and converse. Turn it off any time — the engine keeps running.

04

Pick modules

Each module is a tested recipe. Not a weekend hack. VPN router, email agent, media server, content pipeline, research agent, voice — enable what you need, skip what you don't.

05

Update via Mistro Headquarters

Tested builds. Staged rollouts. No surprise breaking changes. You can always pin a version. You can always roll back. The engine is yours; HQ just ships you safer versions of it.
